Job summary

Creative Management Technology, Inc. (CMTI) is seeking a reliable Custodian to maintain clean, safe facilities in Norfolk, VA. The role involves following cleaning schedules across locations, restocking supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met daily.

Primary duties include trash removal, restroom sanitizing, floor care, window cleaning, dusting, and reporting maintenance needs. Applicants should have custodial experience, understand cleaning methods, and be able to pass background checks

Responsibilities

• Collect all garbage and recyclables from the assigned locations and place in the correct disposal dumpster.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and fixtures daily with a germicidal solution.
• Wet mops all washable floors, including restrooms, stairwells, elevators, office areas, and storage areas.
• Cleans glass and windows (inside and outside) when required.
• Cleans office areas and building entrances.
• Vacuums all carpeted areas and dust-mops corridors.
• Dust, clean, and sanitize other surfaces.
• Refills paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap in all dispensers.
• Complete and maintain a housekeeping log according to the schedule.
• Participate in emergency drills and environmental safety activities, as requested.
• Attend and participate in worksite safety and in-service training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB INFORMATION

DAYS: Monday - Friday

We are looking for a Custodian responsible for cleaning retail locations. The custodian will be
required to follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and should have the necessary skills
and abilities to perform defined tasks.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to comply with and pass a background check as required by the contract
• Submit and pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to physically move through the worksite
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods as well as stoop, squat, lift, carry, and push
• Must wear protective equipment, such as latex gloves and safety glasses, according to OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
