Job summary

The Town of Wellesley is seeking full-time custodians for the Middle School building. You will perform cleaning, minor maintenance, landscaping/grounds work, event setup, building security, and snow/ice response, with weekend and standby duties as needed.

New hires receive comprehensive training and work under the supervision of a Facility Supervisor. Prior custodial experience is not required but preferred; a valid MA driver's license and a High School diploma or GED are required.

The Town of Wellesley's Facilities Management Department (FMD) is seeking full-time custodian(s). This is an opportunity to join one of the top municipal facilities organizations in the area. New hires will receive comprehensive training and will be supervised by an experienced Facility Supervisor. Our custodians perform all aspects of custodial services and operations for the department. The work includes cleaning of buildings, minor maintenance work, landscaping/grounds work, event setup, building security, and emergency snow/ice response. Candidates must be available for weekend, emergency and stand-by duties as required, and must have a valid MA Driver's license and a High School diploma or GED.

The current openings are in our Middle School building. Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm or Tuesday through Friday, from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm and Saturdays from 7:30am - 4:00pm. School vacation and summer hours are generally all first shift. The hourly rate of pay is $22.75 to $28.36, depending upon qualifications and experience.
