Job summary

Amentum in Fort Gordon, GA is seeking a Custodian Lead to provide team leadership and perform custodian duties across the facility.

You will oversee daily operations in the supervisor's absence, direct custodial staff, conduct quality inspections, train new employees, and respond to work orders and safety concerns.

This role requires a high school diploma, US citizenship, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations in supervisor’s absence
• Provide direction to custodial team members on a routine basis
• Notify supervisor of quality control issues or needed repairs
• Act as liaison between custodial team and supervisor
• Perform quality control inspections
• Train new employees
• Respond to daily work orders and emergency requests
• Clean, sanitize, and deep-clean bathrooms and kitchenette spaces
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors per weekly plan
• Clean under desks, hallways, conference rooms, and open workspaces
• Clean interior windows up to 7 feet high
• Remove and dispose of trash 2-3 times daily
• Replenish supplies in restrooms
• Monitor and report maintenance issues or safety hazards
• Follow safety procedures and use cleaning supplies properly
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
