Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Michigan is seeking a dedicated janitor to maintain and protect the assigned areas, ensuring clean, organized spaces that meet company standards. The role emphasizes safety, ownership, and teamwork as part of our ESOP‑driven culture.

You will follow daily checklists, clean fixtures, restrooms, floors, windows, and grounds, with occasional minor repairs and landscape upkeep; ability to work with little supervision and contribute to a reliable facility team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as janitor or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
• Familiarity with handyman and basic landscaping practices.
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
• Respectful and able to take direction.
• Able to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follows standard work and daily checklists to ensure that all assigned tasks are performed to standard and meet expectations.
• Clean and make minor repair to building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
• Clean, sanitize, and stock restrooms/locker rooms using established practices and procedures.
• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture, sweep, mop, or vacuum floors.
• Empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
• Maintain the landscape around the buildings and fence lines.
• Clean all windows indoors.
• Other duties assigned by the Management.
