Job summary

Planned Companies PBS is hiring Janitors and Custodians to clean common areas and bathrooms in Queens, NY. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 12pm–8pm, paying $19.00 per hour. You will ensure tenants, guests, and vendors have a clean, healthy, and safe property to live or work in.

Responsibilities include floors care, dusting, sanitizing fixtures, trash handling, and assisting management with projects. Must lift 50 lb+, HS diploma preferred; team or independent work encouraged.

Qualifications

• Willing to stand on your feet for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Experience using cleaning products and equipment for floors and carpets.
• Able to work on a team as well as independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types.
• Stripping, buffing and waxing floors of various types.
• Dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
• Scrubbing and sanitizing bathroom toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures.
• Emptying trash cans and washing/drying windows.
• Requesting cleaning supply orders, reporting breakages and needed repairs.
• Assisting building management with all projects and other duties as requested.
