Job summary

TEAM is seeking a Custodian/Janitor to maintain clean and safe facilities. This role focuses on cleaning specific areas of the plant and supporting maintenance activities while adhering to safety guidelines.

Typical shift is 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, with full-time benefits including medical, dental, PTO, and retirement options. Email inquiries to [e-mail] for application assistance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to stand 100% of shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a clean & safe work environment by following safety rules and regulations.
• Cleaning of restrooms, office areas, lunchroom, and other common areas.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and restock as needed.
• Empty and clean mop buckets; promote a positive atmosphere among TEAM employees.
• Will perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Description

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Purpose: Responsible for cleaning of specific areas of the plant and performing other maintenance-related activities.

• Ensure a clean & safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program
• Cleaning of restrooms, office areas, lunchroom, and other common areas
• Emptying of garbage containers and recycle bins as needed
• Maintain inventory of cleaning, toiletry, and lunch room supplies
• Empty, clean, refill mop buckets where applicable
• Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Requirements

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Valid and current MN driver’s license where applicable
• Ability to communicate with a variety of people, including outside vendors
• Ability to prioritize and schedule cleaning activities throughout the day, week, month, etc.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures
• Must be able to operate, walk-behind and riding, floor scrubbers and barnishers
• Must be able to operate scissor lifts and forklifts
• Must be able to perform duties without direct supervision

Physical Demands

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs., rarely lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to stand for 100% of shift
• Ability to do repetitive motions, i.e. bending, twisting, walking, crouching
• Ability to work at elevated heights
• Ability to climb ladders
• Abilit to continuously operate a minimum of 3 hours
