University of Louisiana Monroe is seeking a Custodian 2 to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across campus facilities.

Duties include cleaning restrooms and offices, emptying trash, moving and dusting furniture, preparing cleaning solutions, operating vacuums, and reporting maintenance needs to senior staff. Appointment Type: Probational.

Qualifications

• Six months of custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.
• State civil service standards apply to the role.
• Appointment type: Probational as described by ULM.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathrooms, offices, hallways, and assigned areas by sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
• Empties and decontaminates trash containers.
• Moves, rearranges, and dusts furniture and fixtures.
• Mixes cleaning solutions to proper concentrations and disposes of waste per procedures.
• Maintains custodial equipment and reports needs for repairs.
• Operates wet/dry vacuum and shampooing equipment for carpets.
