Adams State University is seeking a Custodian II Supervisor to oversee custodial operations and lead a crew of up to 15 Custodian I staff. The role includes assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring safe access and security of facilities.

This Position consists of supervising custodial units and performs custodial duties as needed to ensure clean, safe, sanitary, well maintained buildings to meet University customer needs and to protect the assets of Adams State University which further enhance the University’s ability to achieve its objectives in instruction, research and public service.
This position has an essential service designation (required to be on duty to perform essential/emergency services of agency without delay and /or interruption.
This position exists to assist the General Laborer III in delivery of custodial services to building occupants by serving in the capacity of a work leader directing and monitoring the work of a crew of up to 15 Custodian I’s.
As a Supervisor this position will:
This position must understand MSD Sheets, proper use of cleaning chemicals, i. e. water, natural soaps, synthetic detergents/surfactants, solvents, acid, alkaline cleaners, etc. The use of these chemicals requires proper safety precautions and knowledge of various chemical hazards. Position may include use, handling and exposure to hazardous material through the use of custodial cleaning supplies and chemicals and ice melt.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience Only: One (1) year of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position

A successful candidate: will demonstrate responsible professional conduct at all times; will be punctual and observe scheduled work hours; will not abuse leave and will follow call-in procedures. The successful candidate will also follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment, when required.
