Job summary

Simon Property Group is seeking a dedicated custodian at Queenstown Premium Outlets to maintain cleanliness of the center common areas, including sidewalks, parking lots, and service bays. Responsibilities include trash removal, restroom cleaning, and operating a trash compactor.

The role requires adherence to safety guidelines and the ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Routinely inspects and patrols interior and exterior facilities, performs custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning, and trash removal.
• Operates janitorial equipment and safety devices; cleans and restocks supplies; empties trash receptacles and uses the trash compactor as needed.
• Maintains inventory systems and records for cleaning supplies and equipment; reports damaged or missing property to supervisor.
• Assists other departments during events and ensures safety standards (OSHA) are followed to promote a safe work environment.

Job Location: Queenstown Premium Outlets

PRIMARY PURPOSE: This position is accountable for the cleanliness of the center common area, which included but is not limited to, the parking lot, common sidewalks, and service bays. This position is also responsible for emptying of trash receptacles, tenant dumpsters, and operating a trash compactor.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Routinely inspects and patrols the interior and exterior of the facility performing interior and exterior custodial duties including sweeping sidewalks/floors, wet mop sidewalks/floors, operate steam cleaner, operate hand vacuum, c lean and restock restrooms, gather trash and empty trash receptacles; operate compactor and turn trash carts
• Operate a variety of janitorial related equipment to maintain cleanliness of property.
• Operate high-reach or lift equipment to perform debris removal and cleaning of elevated surfaces.
• Assist other departments, including but no limited to, Marketing to c lean and patrol during events.
• Establish procedures to insure completion of scheduled cleaning of different areas of the facility.
• Maintain a professional, cooperative working relationship with management and all co-workers.
• Perform the job in accordance with all applicable standards, policies and regulatory guidelines (i.e. OSHA standards) to promote a safe working environment.
• Ensure the appropriate inventory systems, records, files, material safety data sheets, cleaning supplies, equipment and tools are maintained.
• Notes damaged or missing property, missing trash containers, and other problems and notifies supervisor.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Technical School certifications and/or training preferred Ability to read and interpret documents and comprehend instructions. Ability to effectively present information to departmental management, employees, tenants, and outside contacts Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form Ability to define problems, collect information, and establish facts Self-starter with ability to work independently and multi-task Knowledge of safety rules, hazards, and application of accident prevention measures Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Valid Driver’s License.
