Berkeley Heights Public Schools in New Jersey seeks a Custodian for Governor Livingston High School to maintain cleanliness of the building and grounds.

The position reports to Head Custodian with directions from the Supervisor of Building and Grounds or the Business Administrator/Board Secretary as needed.

Required: high school diploma, criminal history clearance, U.S. citizenship or work authorization, a valid NJ driver’s license; a Black Seal license is preferred.

Qualificações

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful Criminal History Clearance is required.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization.
• Experience as a school custodian or equivalent custodial service is preferred.
• Black Seal license is encouraged and a one-year time allowance may be considered.

REPORTS TO

The Custodian receives daily direction from the school Head Custodian. In the absence of the Head Custodian or Principal the worker will receive direction from the Supervisor of Building and Grounds, and/or the Business Administrator/Board Secretary

JOB GOAL

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness of the school building and grounds.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful Criminal History Clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization.
• Experience as a school custodian, or the equivalent in custodial service at other institutions and firms.
• Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the basic techniques of custodial service.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
• Certificate of good health by school doctor.
• Ability to read basic operating instructions and write reports.
• Ability to communicate with others.
• Demonstrate aptitude for completion of assigned tasks.
• Good attendance and punctuality
• Black Seal license (One-year time allowance).
• Valid NJ Drivers License

Salary: as per the negotiated contract agreement
