Job summary

The Lancaster County Career and Technology Center is seeking a Full-Time 2nd Shift Custodian at the Brownstown Campus to maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized environment. Hours are 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with duties across classrooms, kitchens, restrooms, floors, and trash removal.

Some outdoor upkeep of flowerbeds and sidewalks is required. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour, based on experience, and benefits are eligible.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and receive instruction.
• Ability to operate a variety of standard cleaning equipment.
• Consistent attendance.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have flexible schedule.
• Clearances as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education including PA Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse, and FBI

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized environment for all assigned areas (kitchen/culinary, classrooms/labs, restrooms, floors).
• Perform trash removal using a checklist.
• Perform outdoor upkeep of flowerbeds and sidewalks.
• Follow directions from Lead Custodian and supervisor.

Lancaster County Career & Technology is in search of a detail-oriented, hard-working individual to fill our Full-Time 2nd Shift Custodian vacancy at the Brownstown campus effective immediately. Responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized environment for all assigned areas. The custodian will clean the kitchen/culinary areas, classroom/lab areas, restrooms, floors, and perform trash removal using a checklist to follow. The custodian will also be working outside of the building, performing basic care of flowerbeds and sidewalks. The custodian will also perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Custodian and/or their supervisor.

• Ability to effectively communicate and receive instruction
• Ability to operate a vehicle as well as all types of standard industrial cleaning equipment.
• Consistent Attendance.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have flexible schedule.
• Clearances as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education including PA Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse, and FBI
