Job summary

The Lancaster County Career and Technology Center is seeking a Full-Time 2nd Shift Custodian at the Brownstown Campus. Work hours are normally 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., with starting pay at $17.00 hourly based on experience.

The custodian will maintain a clean, sanitary and organized environment for all assigned areas, including kitchens, classrooms, labs, restrooms, and outdoor spaces. Duties include light grounds work, trash removal, and following a daily checklist; additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate and receive instruction.
• Ability to operate a vehicle as well as all types of standard industrial cleaning equipment.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have flexible schedule.
• Clearances as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education including PA Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse, and FBI

Responsibilities

• Clean the kitchen/culinary areas, classroom/lab areas, restrooms, floors, and perform trash removal using a checklist.
• Work outside of the building, performing basic care of flowerbeds and sidewalks.
• Other duties as assigned by the Lead Custodian and/or their supervisor.

Lancaster County Career & Technology is in search of a detail-oriented, hard-working individual to fill our Full-Time 2nd Shift Custodian vacancy at the Brownstown campus effective immediately. Responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized environment for all assigned areas. The custodian will clean the kitchen/culinary areas, classroom/lab areas, restrooms, floors, and perform trash removal using a checklist to follow. The custodian will also be working outside of the building, performing basic care of flowerbeds and sidewalks. The custodian will also perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Custodian and/or their supervisor.
