Job summary

The Salvation Army in Barnesville, OH is seeking candidates for Maintenance, Janitorial, & Driver responsibilities. You will perform cleaning, vehicle upkeep, and daily operational driving to support Corps activities.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the Corps, including the garage (interior and exterior).
• Ensure Salvation Army Vehicles are clean and fueled; report issues and maintenance needs.
• Daily walk-through to identify items needing attention, repair or replacement; notify Corps Officers.
• Drive for errands in daily operations.
• Assist with seasonal driving needs for programs.
• Maintain grounds of the Corps property including grass, landscaping, and parking lot.
• Maintain, notify when needed, and order janitorial supplies.
• Any other duties deemed necessary by the Corps Officers.

Overview

General Purpose of Job: Maintenance, Janitorial, & Driver

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain all areas of the Corps. This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, removing trash, dusting, and cleaning windows. This includes the garage (interior and exterior).
• Ensure that all Salvation Army Vehicles are clean and fueled. Report and issues, both problems and periodic maintenance that may be needed.
• Daily, walk through the building and look for items that might need attention, cleaning or repair. Notify the Corps Officers of any of these issues and repair/replace when capable.
• Drive for various errands and/or needs in daily operations.
• Assist with seasonal driving needs for programs
• Maintain grounds of the Corps property including grass areas, landscaping, and parking lot.
• Maintain, notify when needed, and order any janitorial supplies.
• Any other duties deemed necessary by the Corps Officers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervise volunteers and community service workers when needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

• Must have a current driver’s license.
