Job summary

Chimes District of Columbia. in is seeking a dedicated custodial worker to perform cleaning and building services across public and work spaces, including executive areas.

The role requires adherence to contract specifications and facility policies, with a Monday–Friday shift from 8:30am to 3:30pm and a set pay rate of $17.20 per hour. Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, descaling fixtures, maintaining floors, and assisting with special restoration tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand or walk for long periods
• Ability to go up and down stairs
• Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs as needed

Responsibilities

• Clean all assigned areas in accordance with contract specifications
• Disinfect restrooms and washable surfaces in public areas
• Descale showers, toilet bowls, and urinals
• Keep restrooms supplied with paper products and soap
• Perform routine glass and mirror cleaning
• Scrub tile and wash walls
• Vacuum area rugs and carpets; sweep and mop floors
• Dust surfaces and polish furniture and metal
• Clean and disinfect kitchenettes and break rooms
• Move, arrange, and lift heavy items
• Attend required meetings and training
• Pass and comply with building and security requirements
