Job summary

UW–Madison’s Recreation & Wellbeing is hiring a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety in our facilities. You will assist in delivering custodial services, care for equipment, and support a welcoming environment during a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional evenings or weekends.

This temporary appointment offers the base pay of $17.55/hour with a $2.50/night differential for 6:00pm–6:00am work, plus opportunities for professional development and trainings.

Qualifications

• Basic custodial tasks and cleaning duties
• Attention to safety and cleanliness standards
• Ability to work with basic cleaning equipment

Responsibilities

• Maintain organization of supply areas and equipment
• Document repairs, violations, and pest control needs
• Use basic equipment to clean assigned areas and remove waste
