Jefferson County Public Schools seeks a Custodian (2nd Shift) at Lowe Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. This on-site role covers 261 workdays with 8-hour shifts, and pays within a published hourly range.

The position requires basic cleaning duties in a school setting, the ability to operate cleaning equipment, and effective communication with supervisors and staff. Internal bids from current JCPS employees are welcome until the closing date.

Salary Schedule: 1B Grade 2 (attached)

As per Board-approved 2026-2027 salary placement rules/schedules.

Salary Pay Range: $16.13/hr - $19.24/hr

Critical Need Stipend $3.50 per hour

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Ability to perform basic commercial cleaning (housekeeping)tasks in schools and office buildings
• Ability to use/operate commercial cleaning equipment
• Effective Communication Skills

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in a diverse workplace
