Job summary

The Custodian position in Oswego Township, IL, funded through Applitrack, supports student learning by maintaining safe, attractive, clean, and efficient learning spaces. The role runs Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a pay rate of $18.75 per hour and full-time benefits.

Responsibilities include keeping buildings clean, reporting repairs, coordinating with the custodial supervisor, and securing the premises at close. Light lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Keeps assigned building(s) neat and clean at all times as defined in the Custodial Procedures Manual.
• Reports repairs/supplies needed and any damage to school property to the Building Engineer, or Operations/Building Administrators.
• Maintains communication with the Custodial Supervisor and Operations Leadership regarding schedules.
• Remains on the school premises, wears district uniform, and displays district I.D. card at all times during school hours and during non-school hours for rentals or special events.
• Assumes responsibility for opening and closing the assigned building(s) each school day, and ensures doors/windows are secured and lights are off.
• Moves furniture or equipment within building(s) as required for activities and as directed by Principal or Building Engineer.
• Complies with local laws and procedures for waste storage and disposal.
• Assists in keeping grounds free from rubbish, litter, snow, and ice.

$18.75per hour*

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Custodian is responsible for providing students with safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient places in which to learn, plan, and develop.
