Job summary

Champion-Packaging- in Illinois is seeking a Custodian to maintain the distribution center. Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitation, replenishment of supplies and floor care to ensure a safe, clean facility.

Candidates should have at least one year of related experience, basic knowledge of cleaning products and an understanding of MSDS. Warehouse experience is welcome but not required. A full-time position with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Custodians will be responsible for the upkeep, janitorial service, supply replenishment, and floor care for our distribution center. Candidates should have 1 year or more of related experience, basic knowledge of cleaning products and understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize facilities
• Wipe down and sanities restroom surfaces,
• Wipe down and sanitize floors and shelving
• Wipe down and sanitize employee common areas
• Wiping down production equipment, conveyors, and transfer lines
• Emptying out the trash bins in the production areas
• Cleaning up spills
• Other cleaning duties as assigned

Requirements

• Stand/walk for the majority of the shift, and be able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs
• Have a great attitude and be a good teammate
• Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned
• Have spent at least 1 continuous year in a recent job
• Warehouse experience preferred but not required
