Position Summary

This role requires moderate physical strength to perform routine cleaning tasks, ensuring safe and clean facilities for students and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, cafeterias, restrooms, gyms, and outdoor areas, operating cleaning equipment, and snow removal. Good interpersonal skills are essential.

Essential Job Functions

• Floor cleaning such as mopping, vacuuming, and waxing.
• Trash removal, restroom cleaning, and maintenance of classroom and office areas.
• Lighting maintenance, dusting, and reporting repairs.
• Outdoor cleaning tasks including trash pickup, watering turf, and snow removal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; housekeeping training preferred.
• Experience in school custodial work desirable.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Ability to perform manual tasks and operate cleaning machinery.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work overtime and from heights using ladders or scaffolding.
