Job summary

Emerald-Isle-Foods-LLC is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all building areas. Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, offices, kitchens, and common areas, restocking supplies, and ensuring safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to read labels, and reliability for routine tasks with minimal supervision. Prior custodial experience and adherence to standard procedures are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wash and disinfect washrooms, floors, toilets, sinks, fixtures and mirrors.
• Restock toilet tissue and hand soap as needed.
• Empty waste baskets and garbage cans.
• Clean entrance, doors, glass, and hardware; dust offices and conference rooms.
• Damp mop floors and vacuum carpets; clean break rooms and kitchens.
• Disinfect water fountains; sweep and mop stairs.

I. Job Purpose/Objective:The Custodial personnel are responsible for performing cleaning duties and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that the building and its facilities are maintained in a healthy and sanitary manner.II. Essential Job Functions:1. Wash and disinfect all washrooms floors, toilets, sinks, fixtures and mirrors.2. Replenish all toilet tissue and hand soap, as needed3. Empty all waste baskets and garbage cans.4. Clean entrance and exit including floors, glass, doors and hardware.5. Clean offices and conference rooms, dust all furniture and fixtures as needed.6. Damp mop hard floor areas and vacuum all carpeted areas.7. Clean all break rooms ,office kitchen areas, sinks and counters8. Clean and disinfect all water fountains9. Broom sweep and mop stairs10 Sweep, Scrub and mop back stairwellIII. Additional Job Functions:1. Spot clean walls and toilet partitions.2. Wash and buff floors with floor polisher3. Wash all marks from walls, doors, hardware and glass.4. Keep outside area near exit clear of cans, paper, etc.5. Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, materials, and supplies6. Restock supplies7. Report minor maintenance repairs, damages and acts of vandalism8. Perform other related duties as requiredIV. Working Conditions/Job Environment:1. Degree of physical demands (strength) usually associated with this position.The custodian is a physically demanding position. The custodian must spend most of the time at work standing, walking, sweeping and mopping floors. There is some lifting involved.
