Job summary

Meridian HealthCare in Youngstown, OH, seeks a dedicatedCustodian to join our facilities team. The role supports primary care and behavioral health services by keeping spaces clean, safe, and well-maintained for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to lift and move fifty pounds.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans all dust collecting surfaces and glass surfaces (i.e., doors, mirrors, handrails, countertops, windowsills, wall fixtures, furniture, light switches, windows, reception windows, vents, etc.) with disinfectants daily.
• Cleans water fountains with disinfectants daily.
• Collects and places trash from public areas and offices in trash bin daily.
• Cleans restrooms with disinfectants daily.
• Vacuums carpets as needed.
• Cleans vinyl/ceramic floors with wet mop as needed.
• Cleans cupboards, countertops and sinks with disinfectants daily.
• Cleans microwaves and refrigerator with mild dish soap and water daily.
• Tests and replaces burnt out light bulbs in light fixtures daily.
• Performs outside maintenance, including cleaning sidewalks/entranceways, weeding, and picking up garbage.
• Maintains and completes preventive maintenance on furnaces, plumbing, air conditioning, water heater, fire exits and alarms, and electrical system.

Our agency is looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented custodians to work at our location on Meridian Rd. We currently have Full-Time and Part-Time positions open; Applicants should be available between the hours of 6am-4pm.
