Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Bay City, MI is seeking a part-time Custodian to maintain clean, safe patient and public areas. You will perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing, polishing, and disinfection, and operate floor scrubber and buffer equipment as needed.

The role requires a valid Michigan driver’s license if driving is a job requirement, preferred prior custodian experience, and a High School Diploma or equivalent. Weekend work is required; shift is 7:30am to 4:00pm.

• Required: Valid Michigan driver’s license, and a driver’s record approved for those employees who drive as a requirement for the job (If Applicable).
• Preferred: Previous custodian experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Cleans items such as floors, elevators, furniture, windows, walls, screens, drinking fountains, lights, pipes, vents, and areas in high places using ladders when necessary.
• Maintains cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing, polishing, and disinfecting.
• Moves furniture and equipment as needed.
• Responsible for correct use of cleaning compounds
• Operates power driven equipment such as floor scrubber and buffer and maintains such equipment.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Performs other related duties as required and directed.
