Hiawatha Valley Education District is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a part-time Custodian. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, minor building maintenance, and room set up.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Sweeping and mopping/scrubbing floors
• Wiping down tables, chairs, and other high-touch surfaces
• Vacuuming carpet runners and entry mats
• Extracting and deep-cleaning carpeted areas as needed
• Washing interior windows and glass doors
• Emptying garbage and recycling receptacles
• Cleaning and disinfecting door handles and common area fixtures
• Monitoring the garbage collection site and surrounding grounds for loose trash and natural debris
• Sweeping and maintaining the public access area in front of the four adjacent businesses

Qualifications:

Hiawatha Valley Education District (HVED) provides special education services to 12 School Districts and 3 Charter Schools within five counties of southeast Minnesota: Fillmore, Houston, Olmsted, Wabasha, and Winona. HVED also has a Setting IV Behavior Programs that provides programming for students in grades K-12 with challenging behaviors currently receiving special education services.
