Under a detailed cleaning plan, the Custodian performs general and specific cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and pleasant environment. Additional tasks may include furniture moving, office and classroom cleaning, restroom cleaning, exterior entrances cleaning, emergency support, floor care, event setup and breakdown, and cleaning public spaces.
This position reports to the Manager of Custodial Services and may also report to other managers or staff as assigned. The role involves providing building support to ensure safety and comfort for the university community. Professional behavior, policy compliance, flexibility, and teamwork are expected. The position is considered an emergency role, serving faculty, staff, students, and the public.
