The Custodian performs cleaning and maintenance tasks according to a detailed plan to ensure a safe and clean environment. Tasks include general cleaning, furniture moving, restroom and classroom cleaning, exterior entrance cleaning, emergency support, floor care, and supporting event setups. Availability for emergency work such as snow removal and water damage clean-up is required. The role involves using cleaning tools and equipment.
This position reports to the Manager of Custodial Services and may also report to other staff as assigned. It aims to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for the university community. Employees are expected to behave professionally, comply with policies, and work as part of a team. This is an emergency position involving faculty, staff, students, and the public.
