Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodial Lead to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas while guiding custodial staff. You will perform duties on the daily schedule and provide direction as directed by the Custodial Supervisor.

Responsibilities include training staff, operating cleaning equipment, managing inventories, and coordinating repairs. The role requires attention to safety, PPE usage, and timely reporting of incidents.

Qualifications

• Education and/ or Experience: High school diploma / GED required. At least 1-year related experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for this position and forklift certification may be required.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Track and maintain supply inventory
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor
• Monitor employees for proper use of PPE and supplies
• Correct at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediately
• Drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities as needed
• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement

A valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs. Employees required to drive as part of their job duties must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company driving eligibility requirements.

Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified

Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team

Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment

Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
