Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodial Lead to oversee cleaning and sanitation for assigned areas and supervise custodial staff under the guidance of the Custodial Supervisor.

The role requires basic custodial knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage inventory and equipment. Hours are Mon-Fri, 11am-7:30pm, with a pay rate of $17.00–$18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with basic safety training.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience with custodial cleaning methods preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• May require forklift, CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial tasks and daily duties per schedule.
• Provide work direction to custodians as directed by supervisor.
• Assist with scheduling and training staff as needed.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment safely.
• Track inventory and arrange supplies as needed.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Track and maintain supply inventory
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment

• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor
• Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and supplies

• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement

Education and/ or Experience

High school diploma / GED required. At least 1-year related experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

CPR/AED/First Aid certification . May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
