Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is hiring a Custodial Lead to oversee cleaning and sanitation in assigned areas and provide guidance to custodial staff. You will ensure daily operations align with safety and quality standards.

The role includes supervising duties, equipment operation, inventory tracking, and collaboration with the Custodial Supervisor. Candidates should have a High school diploma and custodial experience; CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year related custodial experience preferred.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certs may be required; valid driver’s license may be needed.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safe chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties as scheduled.
• Provide work direction to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor.
• Assist with scheduling and training of staff.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repairs.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Track and maintain supply inventory
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor
• Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and supplies
• Correct at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediately
• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement

Education and/ or Experience

High school diploma / GED required. At least 1-year related experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

CPR/AED/First Aid certification . May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
