Job summary

Thistle Health Inc. is seeking a Custodian at our Vacaville Production Facility in Vacaville, CA. The role focuses on keeping the facility clean, safe, and well-maintained for all staff and visitors.

Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, you will follow PPE and COVID cleaning protocols, stock and manage janitorial supplies, and operate cleaning equipment to uphold our high standards of hygiene and safety. A strong work ethic and independence are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of custodial or janitorial experience, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Positive attitude and commitment to a collaborative and safe workplace.
• Strong organizational skills and time-management abilities.
• Capacity to follow detailed instructions and established processes.
• Ability to multitask effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with PPE and COVID cleaning protocols, maintaining stock levels of hairnets, masks, gloves, lab coats, and other protective gear.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including cleaning and disinfecting floors, restrooms, lunchrooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and maintain clear visibility by dusting high-touch areas.
• Refill and maintain functionality of paper, soap, and sanitizer dispensers across the facility.
• Collaborate with the Inventory Specialist to manage janitorial supplies and chemicals.
• Operate and maintain commercial cleaning equipment including vacuums and buffers.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance for all office and lobby spaces.

How You’ll Make a Difference

• Ensure compliance with PPE and COVID cleaning protocols, maintaining stock levels of items such as hairnets, masks, gloves, lab coats, and other protective gear.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including:
  • Cleaning and disinfecting floors, restrooms, lunchrooms, and common areas.
  • Emptying trash and recycling bins.
  • Dusting and sanitizing surfaces, doorknobs, and high-touch areas.
  • Cleaning windows and maintaining clear visibility.
  • Refill and maintain functionality of paper, soap, and sanitizer dispensers across the facility.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Specialist to manage and restock janitorial supplies and chemicals, ensuring consistent inventory availability.
  • Operate and maintain commercial cleaning equipment, including vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance for all office and lobby spaces.
