Job summary

THK Manufacturing of America is seeking a Custodian for 1st shift to maintain cleanliness across offices and facility areas. You will clean, sanitize, and organize spaces, follow safety procedures, and support events and daily operations.

This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities include cleaning offices, restrooms, break rooms, production areas, and common spaces, operating custodial equipment, and reporting safety concerns.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain offices, restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, hallways, production areas, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility.
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, and other surfaces as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of cafeterias, conference rooms, and training areas.
• Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Support housekeeping expectations throughout the plant and assist with special cleaning projects.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
• Assist with facility setup or cleanup for meetings, events, or company activities.
• Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment safely and effectively.
• Help maintain outside areas including entrances, sidewalks, and seasonal duties as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.

Job description

This position is responsible for ensuring all offices and other specifically assigned areas of the facility are kept in clean and orderly condition. Priority areas will include all non-factory parts of the facility.

1st shift hours

Major Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain offices, restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, hallways, production areas, and common spaces

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Frequently bend, stoop, lift, and reach
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
