The Role
As a member of the Custodial Team, you will maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the venue before, during, and after events. This seasonal, part‑time, event‑based position starts in June 2026 and ends in September 2026.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform general cleaning duties to maintain venue restrooms, event spaces, corridors, offices, suites, lobbies, docks, backstage areas, and building grounds (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and related tasks).
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of venue restrooms, including restocking supplies, disinfecting surfaces, and mopping floors.
- Assist with event preparation and post‑show cleanup of lawn, seating areas, concourses, and surrounding venue spaces.
- Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash, recycling, and debris throughout the venue.
- Operate custodial equipment, including but not limited to vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, leaf blowers, trash compactors, golf carts, powered hand tools, riding machines, and chemical dispensers.
- Maintain cleaning equipment, tools, and supply closets in a clean, organized, and operational condition.
- Communicate effectively with management and supervisors to ensure cleaning standards are maintained and safety procedures are followed.
- Identify and promptly report irregularities, discrepancies, safety concerns, venue damage, or loss of property.
- Maintain predictable and reliable attendance and adhere to the dress code while presenting a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1–3 months of related custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in large venues, stadiums, amphitheaters, or event facilities is a plus.
Skills and Abilities
- Perform routine and repetitive housekeeping tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong hospitality and customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers, management, and guests.
- Work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented, event‑driven environment.
- Exercise good judgment and follow established policies and procedures.
- Maintain professionalism and discretion when working in guest or backstage areas.
- Basic knowledge of radio communication helpful.
- Work indoors and outdoors depending on event and operational needs.
- Work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional unscheduled overtime shifts as needed.
- Tolerate outdoor conditions including extreme heat or cold, dust, dirt, and cleaning chemical odors.
Physical Demands
Stand and walk for extended periods, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull items up to approximately 50 pounds, climb stairs and maneuver throughout the venue, use hands and fingers to grasp, handle, or operate cleaning equipment, communicate clearly and hear coworkers or supervisors in a busy environment, and work in loud environments typical of concerts and live events. May be exposed to adverse conditions such as loud music, pyrotechnics, weather conditions, dust, and cleaning chemicals.
