Job summary

Legends Global, managing the Peoria Civic Center, is seeking a part-time custodian to maintain sanitary, orderly facilities and present a welcoming image at events and daily operations.

The role requires flexible hours (nights, weekends, holidays), English fluency, a high school diploma or GED, basic computer use, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift up to 50 lb. You will clean, replace bulbs, operate custodial equipment, read task sheets, and report maintenance needs to supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work an overall part-time schedule, with no minimum hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties to maintain sanitary and orderly conditions.

• Use supplies and operate equipment in a safe, effective manner.
• Clean window and door glass.
• Replace light bulbs and clean fixtures.
• Read, understand, and follow task sheets, labels, SDS, and other information.
• Use ladders and scaffolding to complete tasks.
• Operate custodial power equipment (floor machines, carpet cleaners, window washers).
• Return equipment to storage in good condition and cleaned.
• Report maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning duties as assigned to maintain sanitary and orderly conditions that will reflect a positive image of the facility.
• Promote the reputation and goodwill of the Peoria Civic Center through a well-groomed appearance and pleasant, helpful, and courteous interactions with customers, the public, and other employees.
• Use supplies and operate equipment in a safe, effective, and proper manner.
• Clean window and door glass.
• Replace light bulbs and clean fixtures in assigned areas.
• Read, understand, and follow task assignment sheets, manufacturers' instructional labels, Safety Data Sheets, and other necessary information.
• Use stepladders, lift platforms, scaffolding, etc. to complete assigned tasks.
• Operate custodial power equipment, such as, but not limited to, floor scrubbing and/or sweeping machines, carpet extracting equipment and window washing unit.
• Return custodial equipment to storage in good operating condition and properly cleaned.
• Report to supervisor any building or maintenance needs when observed.
• Other duties as assigned.
