Job summary

Dixie Tech is seeking part-time custodians to maintain cleanliness and appearance of facilities in St. George, Utah. Shifts are 3 PM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing, and keeping common areas professional for students and staff. Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least six months custodial experience. Familiarity with safety procedures and physical ability to perform duties for four hours per

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum carpets and area rugs, removing all dirt and debris.
• Mop hard surface flooring, removing all dirt and debris.
• Clean drinking fountains and remove watermarks.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including doors, stalls, toilets, floors, sinks, mirrors, and dispensers.
• Clean and sanitize break room microwaves, sinks, and surfaces daily.
• Clean area surfaces and dust offices, conference rooms, and reception areas daily.
• Clean and maintain debris-free entrance areas; clean door areas as needed.
• Clean glass, removing handprints and smudges.
• Remove trash daily.
• Spot clean carpets as needed.
• Replenish toiletry supplies and hand soap as needed.
• Must be able to perform cleaning operations for up to four hours per day.
• Report to the Custodial Supervisor.
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Interacts professionally with students, staff, and the public.
• Treat all people with respect regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age 40+, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, or related condition; report violations to HR or Student Services.

Summary

The custodians are responsible for the cleanliness and overall appearance of all Dixie Technical College facilities located in St. George, Utah. The part‑time custodians will work a four‑hour daytime shift, Monday through Friday. The schedule may include an occasional Saturday. The custodians will ensure that students, faculty, and staff are able to work and learn in spaces that promote professionalism.

Dixie Tech is a public technical college located on a new state‑of‑the‑art campus in St. George, Utah. The College has 30 Council on Occupational Education‑accredited programs that offer certifications in high‑demand, high‑pay professions.

Hours: 3 PM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain debris‑free entrance areas. Clean door areas as needed inside and out.
