Job summary

Pritchard Industries, a provider of facility services in New Jersey, is hiring a Custodian for our South Plainfield location. You will vacuum, mop, sweep, empty trash, and clean restrooms/break rooms to keep the building clean and safe.

The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, and able to work evenings. Responsibilities include using an auto scrubber, setting up for events, and following supervisor instructions.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Prior cleaning experience is a plus.
• Be able to use the auto scrubber machine.
• Be able to set up for events.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping floors, removing trash.
• Cleaning restrooms and break rooms.
• Performing miscellaneous duties to maintain a healthy, safe facility.
• Set up for events and assist with cleaning as needed.

We are seeking to hire aCustodian. You will be responsible for performing building maintenance tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping floors, removing trash, cleaning restrooms and break rooms, and other miscellaneous duties to ensure that the building and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. The ideal candidate will have a professional attitude & appearance and be self-motivated, hardworking, dependable, and responsible.

Job Requirements

Must be able to follow instructions from supervisor and complete all tasks effectively.

Prior cleaning experience is a plus.

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

Janitor experience is a plus but will train

Reliable Transportation

Be able to use the auto scrubber machine

Be able set up for events

Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Hours: 20hrs/week, 4:00pm - 8:00pm, Monday - Friday
