Job summary

Goodwill Southeast Georgia is seeking a Custodian to perform cleaning and sanitation of office areas and washrooms in Savannah, GA. Duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and maintaining cleanliness of floors and fixtures.

The role requires following established safety procedures, handling cleaning chemicals, and assisting with minor maintenance. The position supports a clean, safe environment in line with organizational mission.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms/offices using established procedures.

• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis.
• Wash accessible interior and exterior windows.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and paper products for assigned workareas; re-supply when needed.
• Understand and demonstrate safe practices and EH&S responsibilities.
• Accomplish organization mission by completing related assignments as needed.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Cleans and keeps in an orderly condition office working areas and washrooms. Duties involve a combination of the following: Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors; removing trash, and other refuse; dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; providing supplies and minor maintenance services; and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJORRESPONSIBILITIES:

Clean and sanitizerestrooms/bathrooms offices using established practices and procedure.

Clean, dust, and wipe furniture;sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers;refill restroom dispensers, etc.

Follow instructions regarding theuse of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed.
