Job summary

Urs Midwest Inc. in Plymouth, MI is seeking a responsible Part-Time Custodian to maintain our company headquarters by cleaning, sanitizing, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a janitor, custodian, or in a similar role.
• Ability to operate cleaning-related equipment and machinery.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
• Strong attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Physical stamina — most of the workday is spent on your feet
• Physical strength — able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Integrity and the ability to work independently
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, etc.)
• Perform and document routine inspections and maintenance activities
• Carry out targeted cleaning tasks and special projects as needed
• Make minor adjustments and repairs
• Notify management of deficiencies or the need for major repairs
• Maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies
• Collaborate with the rest of the staff
• Follow all health and safety regulations
