Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a dedicated Custodian/Janitor in Pasadena, CA to join our cleaning team. The role requires minor janitorial experience and familiarity with cleaning products and equipment. Training is provided for the right candidate.

The position is full-time, with Mon-Fri evening hours (4:00 PM–12:30 AM) and a pay rate of $23.15 per hour, plus 8 paid holidays. Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long hours.
• Experience with cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
• Experience handling, mixing and using cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work at heights.
• Position requires a strong criminal background check and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Collect/Empty trash cans.
• Dust all surfaces (walls, furniture, equipment).
• Clean & restock restrooms.
• Follow cleaning procedures.
• Mop, sweep, scrub, and vacuum.
• Be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Perform routine maintenance activities.
• Notify managers regarding repairs or additions to building systems.
• Any other duties as needed by the manager.

• Base Pay $23.15 - $23.15 / Hour

Description

We are looking for a hardworking, motivated, enthusiastic, and team player Custodian/Janitor that wants to join our cleaning team. While we are willing to provide training to the right candidate, you should have at least SIX Months of janitorial experience, and be familiar with various cleaning products, techniques, and equipment (basic).

Duties:

• Collect/Empty Trash cans
• Dusting all surfaces (walls, furniture, and equipment)
• Cleaning & restocking restrooms
• Follow cleaning procedures
• Mop, sweep, scrub, and vacuum
• Be able to lift at least 25 pounds
• Perform routine maintenance activities
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Clean and polish fixtures and furniture
• Notifies managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Any other duties as needed and assigned by the manager/supervisor

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours
• Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time
• Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions
• Background in handling, mixing and using cleaning chemicals
• Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules
• Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work at particular heights.
• Position requires strong criminal background check and drug screenings.

SCHEDULE - Mon - Fri (4:00 PM- 12:30 AM)

Pay $23.15 per hour. 8 paid holidays.
