Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a dependable Custodian to maintain a clean, safe environment across residential living spaces, dining areas, restrooms, and common areas. The role supports daily cleaning and upkeep to ensure the facility remains sanitary and presentable.

The position offers a full-time schedule with regular daytime hours, occasional evenings and weekends as needed. Compensation ranges from $16.00 to $23.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize living areas, restrooms, dining areas, and common spaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
• Clean and reset dining tables and common areas as needed.
• Restock soap, paper products, and other custodial supplies.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning, including windows, baseboards, and kitchen appliances.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to management.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Assist with additional housekeeping and custodial duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility
• Clean and sanitize living areas, restrooms, dining areas, and common spaces

• Clean and reset dining tables and common areas as needed
• Restock soap, paper products, and other custodial supplies

Qualifications

• Previous custodial, commercial cleaning, hospitality, or housekeeping experience preferred
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to perform physical work throughout an 8-hour shift, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying
• Ability to pass a background check
