Avenues Recovery in Michigan is seeking a dependable Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment. You will clean residential areas, dining spaces, restrooms, and common areas to keep the facility sanitary and presentable.

This full-time role requires physical work across an 8-hour shift, with occasional evenings and weekends. Compensation ranges from $16 to $23 per hour, with experience-based progression and growth opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred.
• Reliable, punctual, able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Capable of performing physical work during an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize living areas, restrooms, dining areas, and common spaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
• Clean and reset dining tables and common areas as needed.
• Restock soap, paper products, and other custodial supplies.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning, including windows, baseboards, and kitchen appliances.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to management.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Assist with additional housekeeping and custodial duties as assigned.
