Job summary

Lakeshore Global Energy FM LLC in Orlando, FL is seeking a dependable janitor to perform routine cleaning of offices, lobbies, cafeterias, restrooms, and public areas. You will dust, vacuum, wipe surfaces, and keep restrooms stocked, reporting safety concerns to your supervisor.

The role requires the ability to lift and move cleaning supplies, follow instructions, and maintain confidentiality while adhering to infection control practices. A background check may be conducted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six (6) months of recent commercial, office, or janitorial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks independently.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment, supplies, and trash.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning of administrative offices, lobbies, cafeterias, lounges, corridors, restrooms, escalators, elevators, stairways, and other areas associated with the assigned facility.
• Cleans and dusts furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, windows, doors, trim, and related furnishings.
• Moves small furniture, supplies and miscellaneous as directed.
• Collects both recyclable and non-recyclable waste and replaces trash can liners.
• Cleans and sanitizes telephones, vacuums areas on scheduled basis according to traffic/usage.
• Locks and unlocks doors and windows as necessary; turns off lights when rooms are unoccupied.

JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for janitorial/cleaning duties in assigned area(s) and reports directly to Supervisor.DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTIONPerforms routine cleaning of administrative offices, lobbies, cafeterias, lounges, corridors, restrooms, escalators, elevators, stairways, and other areas associated with the assigned facility.Cleans and dusts furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, windows, doors, trim, and related furnishings.Moves small furniture, supplies and miscellaneous as directed.Collects both recyclable and non-recyclable waste and replace trash cans liners. Take trash to assigned location.Telephones should be periodically cleaned using germicidal and cleaner disinfectants.Vacuums area(s) on scheduled basis and according to a level of traffic/usageClean light switches, door and walls, tops of modular furniture and blinds.Clean and/or polish tables, benches and chairs.Remove cobwebs.Locks and unlocks doors and windows to offices and other rooms as necessary. Turns off light when rooms are unoccupied.PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONSReports to work on time and dressed per provided dress/uniform policies and standardsPerforms work as directed; reports to his supervisor safety hazards as appropriate.Maintains confidentiality according to policy.Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques.Custodial closets will remain locked at all times unless in use; when in use, doors should stay wide open.Keeps hallways and pathways clear of carts, cleaning equipment/tools; cleaning carts are not to be left unattended.Maintains productivity, quality, and compliance standards.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED preferred; or relevant commercial or office cleaning experience in lieu of diploma.Six (6) months of recent commercial, office, or janitorial cleaning experience preferred, but not required.Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks independently.Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment, tools, supplies, and trash as required for daily operations.Company does an extensive background check and drug tests based on the client’s requirements
