Job summary

NFI is seeking a Custodian in Olive Branch, MS to maintain sanitation levels across company facilities. You will clean with hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers and vacuums, and remove all refuse daily to keep spaces spotless.

The role requires attention to detail and good communication. Prior custodial experience is preferred; the position is on-site with safety reporting to the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, restrooms, break rooms and facilities with brooms, scrubbers, sweepers and vacuums.
• Remove all refuse daily and ensure trash cans are clean and empty.
• Stock restrooms with supplies and maintain sanitation standards.
• Relocate and arrange office furniture as needed.
• Ensure pest control systems operate efficiently and sanitation is maintained.
• Keep exterior walkways and parking areas free of ice, snow, litter and debris.
• Prepare reports on labor and equipment and maintain repair history logs.
• Report safety problems to the shift supervisor and comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.

Overview

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining sanitation levels in and around company facilities as set forth by company standards.

Responsibilities

• Cleans terminal with hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers and vacuum cleaners to meet company standards
• Removes all refuse from offices, restrooms, break-rooms and building daily ensuring trash cans are empty and clean
• Ensures that restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies
• Relocates, moves and adjusts office furniture as necessary
• Ensures that pest control systems are operating efficiently and that the highest degree of sanitation and housekeeping is maintained
• Removes ice and snow from pedestrian walkways and parking lot(s)
• Maintains company grounds free from litter and debris
• Prepares company required reports on labor and equipment
• Maintains a log on the history of repairs by type of equipment
• Prepare complete and accurate records and reports as required
• Reports any safety problems to the shift supervisor
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
• Performs other duties as instructed by the Operations Manager
