Job summary

Core Linen Services is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain clean, safe, and orderly interiors and public spaces across healthcare and hospitality environments. You will perform heavy cleaning tasks, floor care, sanitizing surfaces, trash removal, and general upkeep while adhering to safety regulations.

The role supports healthcare and hospitality operations, working with supervisors and colleagues to complete assignments efficiently and maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection

Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential functions of Custodian role.
• Experience with custodial or janitorial work is preferred but not required; training provided.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors as specified by safety and cleanliness standards.
• Move equipment and furniture as needed for thorough cleaning, returning items to their proper place.
• Clean assigned areas using provided materials and equipment, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, and baseboards to maintain a safe and attractive environment for everyone.
• Proactively identify and address areas requiring cleaning; take initiative to maintain high standards.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisors in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform cleaning duties in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets as required.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere, demonstrating professionalism with customers and coworkers.
• Perform other custodial duties as assigned to support the overall cleanliness and safety of facilities.

The Custodian position is a key role within the facilities team, responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the company’s premises.
