The position features an on-campus work location and a 2:00pm to 10:00pm schedule across Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday, with Tuesday and Wednesday off. Responsibilities include floor care, restroom cleaning, general cleaning, trash/recycling, and basic maintenance tasks, plus event setup and equipment moving as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Stable work history.
  • Preferred: Vocational/Technical school training.
  • Preferred: Previous cleaning experience; floor machines, hydraulic lift and snow blowers familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Floor care: sweep, mop, auto scrub, wax, and polish floors.
  • Restroom cleaning: disinfect sinks, toilets, urinals, showers; restock supplies.
  • General cleaning: clean surfaces, windows, walls, and fixtures.
  • Trash and recycling: collect and empty bins and dispose outside.
  • Maintenance support: remove snow, unclog drains, replace bulbs, report repairs.
  • Assist in events, move furniture, and complete trainings.

Work Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday - 2:00pm to 10:00pm (Tuesday and Wednesdays off)

Work Location: On Campus

Hourly Rate: $23-$26

Essential Job Duties
  • Floor Care
    • Sweep, dust, mop, auto scrub, wax, and polish floors.
    • Vacuum carpets and perform carpet extraction.
  • Restroom and Shower Cleaning
    • Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, urinals, and showers.
    • Sweep and mop restroom floors.
    • Restock soap, hand towels, and toilet paper.
  • General Cleaning
    • Clean horizontal and vertical surfaces.
    • Clean glass, walls, woodwork, vents, and light fixtures.
    • Clean windowsills, desktops, and classroom boards.
  • Trash and Recycling
    • Collect trash and recycling and place in designated outside containers.
    • Clean all indoor trash and recycling bins.
  • Maintenance Support
    • Remove snow from building entrances, sidewalks, and steps.
    • Unclog sink and toilet drains.
    • Replace light bulbs.
    • Report items needing repair.
  • Other Related Duties
    • Assist in buildings with staff shortages.
    • Complete set-ups for events.
    • Move furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed.
    • Professional development and training.
    • Support, respect, and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community.
    • Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycle.
    • Basic skills in using standard office equipment and computer applications, including email, word processing, spreadsheet, and database, or willingness to learn.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received And Exercised
  • Reports to the Custodial Supervisor.
  • This position does not supervise staff or students.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Vocational/Technical school training
  • Experience: Previous cleaning experience; operational experience with floor machines, hydraulic man-lift, snow blowers.
