Job summary

Weiss-Aug Co. in East Hanover, NJ is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across production areas, offices, and common spaces. This role supports GMP compliance and uses cleaning equipment to keep the facility in top condition.

Required: High school diploma or GED; ability to work independently or in a team; English speaking; able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods in a manufacturing environment. Prior custodial/work experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in custodial, janitorial, manufacturing, or warehouse roles preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and pulling.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to speak English.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production support areas, offices, restrooms, locker rooms, cafeterias, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using manual and powered cleaning equipment.
• Empty trash, recycling, and designated waste containers according to facility procedures.
• Clean windows, walls, doors, and other building surfaces.
• Replenish restroom and facility supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
• Respond promptly to spills and sanitation issues.

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety throughout the manufacturing facility, including production areas, offices, break rooms, warehouses, locker rooms, and restrooms. This role helps ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and good manufacturing practices (GMP) where applicable.

Pay Range:

$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
