The role covers classrooms, offices, hallways, locker rooms, restrooms, and athletic spaces, with routine deep cleaning and readiness for events. A physically demanding, single-person workload is expected, prioritizing multiple areas as needed.
This is a physically demanding position requiring an individual to independently clean, sanitize, maintain, and prepare all areas of the school and all areas of the Field House.

The employee is responsible for the full custodial workload associated with both the school campus and Field House.

The employee may be required to determine which tasks must be prioritized when multiple areas require attention at the same time. The employee is expected to independently manage the workload necessary to keep the facilities operational, sanitary, and presentable.
The Custodian may be required to work outside normal school hours based on the operational needs of the district, including athletic events, school activities, special events, facility use, and other scheduled activities.
The position may require cleaning before and after events, responding to unexpected custodial needs, and maintaining facilities while the campus and Field House are actively being used.
Because the position is staffed by one individual, the employee should expect periods in which multiple facilities, events, and cleaning priorities require attention simultaneously.
