YMCA of the Roses is hiring a part-time Custodian in Lancaster, PA. The role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, focusing on cleaning and maintaining facilities to ensure a welcoming environment for members and guests.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, floor care, equipment operation, and assisting with event setups. Benefits include free access to facilities and program discounts, with a background check required.

Formación

• Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, sanitation practices, and safe chemical handling.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment and cleaning tools safely.

• Basic record-keeping and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Previous custodial, housekeeping, facilities, or janitorial experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain assigned areas throughout the facility, including wellness spaces, program rooms, locker rooms, offices, and common areas.
• Perform routine custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, window cleaning, trash removal, and recycling collection.
• Complete floor care tasks such as wet mopping, buffing, stripping, and other maintenance procedures as needed.
• Operate custodial equipment including vacuums, floor buffers, pressure washers, and other cleaning tools safely and effectively.
• Assist with room setups and breakdowns for programs, meetings, and special events.
• Monitor inventory levels and restock cleaning and facility supplies as needed.
• Identify, document, and report maintenance or repair needs in a timely manner.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Support a safe, clean, and professional environment for all YMCA members and guests.

Salary: $9.00-$12.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
