Under close supervision, perform routine custodial activities at assigned school sites or other district facilities; assist in maintaining buildings and grounds to ensure a clean, orderly, and secure environment; serve on a small crew for routine and deep cleaning; perform related duties as assigned. The classification summary provides examples of typical tasks:
Knowledge of proper custodial methods, safety procedures, and equipment operation is essential. Ability to perform custodial activities, operate equipment, follow directions, and meet schedules is required.
Minimum qualifications include completion of eighth grade and six months of custodial experience or equivalent training/experience. A valid California Class C driver’s license is required for certain work assignments.
