Rock Valley Community Programs provides transitional and supportive housing, addiction and mental health treatment services to adults in the Rock County area. We provide these services to homeless male veterans, clients connected to the criminal justice system, and Rock County individuals needing assistance with addiction and/or mental health treatment.
Position:
The Custodianis responsible for maintaining clean, safe, functional, and attractive facilities and grounds. This position performs routine custodial duties, groundskeeping, painting, and general facility maintenance. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while prioritizing multiple responsibilities.
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled maintenance and safety inspections
- Respond to work orders promptly
- Contact vendors as needed and maintain a log of all calls and dates of service
- Maintain all required maintenance department equipment and tools in working order
- Establish and maintain an inventory of all department equipment and tools
- Maintain cleanliness of floors and restrooms in common areas
- Perform trash removal in designated areas
- Maintain facility and equipment by performing minor and routine painting and maintenance tasks
- Ensure mowing and grounds upkeep is performed on time
- Be available for snow removal and sanding/salting all walkways during winter
- Notify the Facility Director concerning the need for repairs or needed equipment
- Maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality
- Maintain adequate supply and inventory of material and parts to perform regular daily tasks
- Contact the Facility Director for purchase orders
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other agency employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency

Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must complete TB test, and drug screening (on-site).
- Completion of CPR, First Aid, CBRF Fire Safety, and Choking training within 90 days
- Employment is contingent upon passing a state and federal background check.
