Job summary

Stellar Energy is seeking a Custodian to maintain a clean working environment at our Fort Worth, TX facilities. The role focuses on hygienic cleaning of common areas, restrooms, and entryways, with attention to safety and quality standards.

As a full-time, non-exempt hourly position, you will mop floors, sanitize surfaces, manage trash and recycling, and support site maintenance. Prior custodial experience and knowledge of industrial cleaning practices are preferred, with occasional outdoor

Qualifications

• Common knowledge of industrial cleaning practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize entry, lobby, offices, break rooms, restrooms, hallways, windows, appliances, and fixtures.
• Mop, wash, and vacuum floors.
• Empty trash and remove recycling.
• Maintain outdoor walk areas and wash walkways.
• Operate janitorial equipment as needed.
• Assist in preparing for ISO 9001 audits.

Summary Objective

The Custodian maintains a clean working environment for all staff and visitors, ensuring all areas are safe.

Essential Functions

• Clean and sanitize entry/lobby, general office areas, break rooms, restrooms, hallways, windows, break room appliances, and polish fixtures (may assist in maintaining cleanliness of shop floor if needed)
• Make sure floors are mopped, washed, and vacuumed
• Empty trash
• Remove recycling materials
• Maintain outside walk areas, including sweeping debris and washing walkways
• Responsibilities may require sedentary work, including but not limited to computer operation, classroom or online training, job observations/inspections, and peer work review
• Work may require the operation of janitorial equipment including hoppers and/or tuggers
• Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will not have supervisory responsibility.

Work Location

This position will work out of our facilities in Fort Worth, TX. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed inside and outside with uncontrolled weather conditions.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. First shift days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel is primarily not required with exception to local travel during the business day.
