Responsibilities include cleaning entryways, offices, restrooms and floors, handling waste, and supporting audits with accurate logs. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Related experience or training in custodial or cleaning roles.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize entry areas, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and lobby.
• Mop, wash, vacuum floors and maintain shop floor cleanliness.
• Dust and vacuum furniture; empty trash; remove recycling.
• Maintain exterior walkways and cleanliness of surrounding areas.
• Track and order maintenance supplies.
• Read and understand inspection logs and participate in audits.

Summary Objective

The Custodian maintains a clean working environment for all staff and visitors, ensuring all areas are safe.

Essential Functions

• Clean and sanitize entry/lobby, general office areas, break rooms, restrooms, hallways, windows and polish fixtures.
• Make sure floors are mopped, washed, and vacuumed.
• Maintains cleanliness of shop floor.
• Dusts and vacuums furniture.
• Empty trash.
• Removes recycling materials.
• Maintain outside walk areas, including sweeping debris and washing walkways.
• Tracks and orders maintenance supplies.
• Responsibilities may require sedentary work, including but not limited to computer operation, video review, classroom or online training, job observations/inspections, and peer work review.
• Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Work Location

This position will work out of our facilities in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed inside and outside with uncontrolled weather conditions.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. First shift days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel is primarily not required with exception to local travel during the business day.
